From our humble beginning in a converted horse stable in 1972, and with an income tax check of $375, We went to Raleigh to purchase 2 vinyl tops and supplies. We gave the very 1st one away and " The Lord has Blessed us ever since."

C & C TOP SHOP, INC. has grown into one of the Carolina’s Leading Aftermarket Restyling Shops. What began with a single vinyl top installation soon outgrew the confines of a solitary bay. Additional space was required and expansion began. Today, there are 12 bays, a Paint Room, Stock Rooms and Computerized Invertory Control and Billing.

The product line has changed through the years to meet consumer demand and now includes manual and power sunroofs, vinyl tops, simulated convertible tops. Ground effects, Gold/leather, pinstriping and much more. One thing hasn’t changed "The Down Home Atmosphere and Friendly Service".

C & C is family owned and operated. Mrs. "C" still keeps the books. Mr. "C" is still the Boss, but today he manages the business from the front office and leaves the installation to the second generation of Crumplers, which includes his son Charles Crumper III. Asked about retirement on his 69th birthday, Mr. "C" replied. "I just reenlisted for three more years."

C & C maintains a fleet of 10 trucks and car carrier dedicated to-shuttling drivers to and from customers’ business with new automobiles awaiting Mr. "C"s Special Touch. His rapport with dealers is such that, in most cases, a phone call from a dealer explaining which car to pick up is all that is necessary, Mr. "C" does the rest.

Such success did not come by accident. From the beginning, Mr. "C" decided to utilize premium components, factory train his workers and backs his product. "Give us a chance and we’ll treat you right " has become his slogan and it has proven successful. C & C Top Shop performs work for dealers for miles around.

What new products will C & C add to its service each year? Only time will tell. One thing is for certain, C & C remains committed to staying on the cutting edge of innovations. As market trends change so will C & C Top Shop. Flexibility has become the Company’s Byword.
